AFSCME 3299 Challenges UC Management’s Intimidation of Graduate Student Workers

The UC Student-Workers Union (UAW 2865) appreciates AFSCME 3299’s clear and forceful defense of our right to engage in Wednesday’s sympathy strike with AFSCME workers and their strong condemnation of the unlawful intimidation tactics that have been employed against graduate students by UC Berkeley Vice Chancellor Breslauer.  The UC Student-Workers Union is filing an Unfair Labor Practice (ULP) charge with the Public Employee Relations Board (PERB) against these intimidation tactics and has been actively working to inform professors, as well as our co-workers, graduate students and undergraduate tutors across campus, about our right to engage in Wednesday’s sympathy strike.  You can read AFSCME 3299’s letter of support here.
